Behind the Limes

Hi all, my name is Courtnie Limes and I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois (more specifically Naperville). Although I do miss the deep dish pizza and the Windy City itself, I found a new home in Fort Worth, Texas.  I am currently a senior at Texas Christian University, graduating in May 2016, pursuing a BFA in graphic design, with a minor in business. This unique combination has allowed me to pursue my creative passion for design while also allowing me to understand the reasoning and works behind it.

In high school I was given the opportunity to take three graphic design classes, which is where my love for design truly originates. To be honest though, my world has always revolved around creativity. So in college I figured why not put these two things together and do something I love? 

If there is one thing I have learned from my college experience it is that inspiration is everywhere. My roommates, friends, and family have all learned to just smile and nod when I start going on about the typography used on the restaurant logo we just passed, or whatever it may be; but in all seriousness I have learned to look at the world as a form of inspiration and source to feed my creativity. My favorite thing about the graphic design field is how it is a career of constant creative problem solving. So whether it be by the means of the pen tool in Illustrator, behind the lens of a camera, or simply pen and paper, I am always ready to explore, learn, and solve the adventures this career throws at me.
